It isn't perfect for every scenario. If you are using a very obscure or homebrew PS2 ISO that isn't in the database, the plugin will just stick to your global settings (which is actually the correct behavior, but worth noting). 2. Fixing the "Black Screen" and "Ghosting" Issues A lot of PS2 games have specific quirks. Kingdom Hearts needs specific blending settings; Burnout 3 struggles without proper mipmapping. Westlife’s v059 database is extensive. It catches these edge cases and applies the specific fixes that the PCSX2 wiki might tell you to do manually. This saves the average user from constantly alt-tabbing out of the game to change settings. Version 0
3. Ease of Installation
Despite being a third-party tool, the installation process is surprisingly clean. It usually involves placing the plugin files into the plugins folder and selecting it as the automatic settings handler within the PCSX2 configuration menu. There is no bloatware or confusing UI to navigate.
4. Performance Optimized Unlike some overlay tools that can cause input lag or frame drops, AutoSettingsPS v059 is incredibly lightweight. It executes the config swap in milliseconds during the game boot-up sequence. I noticed zero performance impact during gameplay.
