Unlock Uriko — Bloody Roar 1

Uriko (a cat-girl character) is unlockable in Bloody Roar 1 by meeting a specific requirement in Story Mode. The steps below assume the PlayStation (PS1) version; steps are similar on other platforms if they support the same mode.

Before we dive into the unlock method, it helps to understand why she is hidden. In the Bloody Roar timeline, Uriko is the daughter of Mitsuko (the Tiger) and a scientist. She is a "test-tube Zoanthrope," meaning she was created in a lab rather than born. Because her DNA is spliced from multiple sources, she transforms into a Chimera.

In Bloody Roar 1, she serves as the game’s "boss character" before the final boss (Zoanthrope Lord, or "The Beast"). She is incredibly fast, has ridiculous range on her kicks, and can juggle opponents easily. This is why players are desperate to unlock her. Bloody Roar 1 Unlock Uriko

Combat Strategy:

If you beat her, the game will show a unique ending scene where she thanks you for freeing her from her isolation. The screen will flash "NEW CHARACTER."
