Launched in late 2022, MoodX positioned itself as a "psychosonic atelier"—a place where music, visual storytelling, and psychological archetypes collide. Unlike mainstream media that sanitizes emotion for mass consumption, MoodX Originals specializes in raw, unfiltered states of being.

By 2023, MoodX had already released three minor cult hits about anxiety and solitude. But "Dark Love" was their magnum opus. The project was announced via a cryptic 15-second clip on social media: a flickering candle, a handwritten letter burning, and the whispered phrase: "Not all love wants to be saved."
