Deemix | Gui Arl

Once you have copied your ARL string to your clipboard, you need to inject it into the deemix GUI. The process varies slightly depending on which version of the GUI you use (PyWebIO vs. the newer deemix-gui Electron version).

If you input a free ARL but try to download FLAC, Deemix will either error or silently downgrade to 128kbps.

The core is the engine. It runs in a terminal/command prompt. It is powerful but not user-friendly for beginners.

| Feature | Without ARL / Free ARL | With HiFi ARL | |---------|------------------------|----------------| | MP3 128 kbps | ✅ | ✅ | | MP3 320 kbps | ❌ | ✅ | | FLAC (lossless) | ❌ | ✅ | | Download playlists | Limited | Full | | Track requests | Slower/blocked | Fast |

Important: A Free Deezer account ARL only allows 128 kbps MP3s. A HiFi subscription ARL is required for 320 kbps or FLAC downloads.

Deemix is a third-party desktop application that lets you download music from Deezer. Unlike Deezer’s official app, deemix focuses on offline downloading of tracks, albums, playlists, and even artist discographies, often in FLAC (lossless) quality.

The original version of deemix was command-line based, which wasn’t user-friendly for everyone. That’s where the GUI comes in.
