Forget heroic quests. The first 10 hours of Digimon World Next Order are spent in the City of Floatia.

The town is destroyed at the start. You recruit Digimon back to the city by beating them in battle or solving their problems. Each recruit unlocks a facility:

The story mixes lighthearted town-building and Digimon social life with darker threats that escalate into large-scale confrontations. Characters tend to be archetypal (the determined human, mentor figures, rival Digimon), but strong presentation and fan-favorite Digimon appearances help maintain interest. Multiple endings depend on in-game choices and completion levels.

The Evolution Requirements: To get a specific Digimon, you must meet hidden criteria. You can check these in the Digivolution Dojo (unlocked early in the story).

Evolution Stages & Lifespan:

Inheritance (Passing Stats): When a Digimon dies, it leaves behind data. Your next Digimon gains a % of the previous generation's stats.
