Unlike regular fonts, an OMR font turns ordinary letters (A, B, C, D) or numbers (1, 2, 3, 4) into perfectly positioned, solid bubbles. When you type "A", the font displays a bubble with an "A" inside or a bubble to fill. The OMR software later reads the darkness and position of these bubbles.
