For years, Dungeondraft users faced a specific bottleneck: texture resolution. The software was originally optimized for lower-end machines, capping texture resolution at lower values to ensure smooth performance on older laptops. While functional, this resulted in blurry walls and pixelated props when zooming in on platforms like Foundry VTT or Roll20.

Cause: You have a corrupted atlas cache.
Fix: Go to Help > Troubleshooting > Clear Asset Cache. Restart Dungeondraft. Allow it to rebuild the atlas. For years, Dungeondraft users faced a specific bottleneck:
The software tries to cram all unique texture data into one 1024x1024 sheet. Every asset you place forces a re-bake of the atlas. At 30 assets, you’ll notice texture swapping (pop-in). At 100 assets, the program freezes for 2–3 seconds every time you pan. Exporting at 4K resolution is pointless—the source data is still 1024. The 1024 Update blows the roof off this limitation
