PSdZData (Projekt System Daten) is the database file containing all the firmware, software, and coding definitions for every BMW ECU. Think of it as the “brain” that E-sys reads to know:
PSdZData comes in two variants:
v51.3 is a specific minor revision. The version number corresponds to BMW’s internal ISTA (diagnostic software) release schedule. Typically, v51.x covers vehicles built up to mid-2018.
Extract PSdZData v51.3
Configure E-sys (if needed)
Add EST Token (optional but required for flashing)
Verify
Add second phone preparation, office functionality, and enhanced audio streaming to cars with baseline Bluetooth.
| Use Case | Recommended Combo | |----------|-------------------| | Daily coding (2020–2022 G-series) | E-sys 3.25.3 + PSdZData v51.3 | | Flashing 2023+ G70 / U10 | E-sys 3.43.0 + PSdZData v51.5+ | | Old F-series (pre-2013) | E-sys 3.27.1 + PSdZData v4.28.0 | | BimmerCode alternative | Not equivalent – lacks flashing capability |
| Item | Description | |------|-------------| | E-sys 3.25.3 | The coding & flashing software for BMW (ISTA/P equivalent for F/G/I-series chassis). | | PSdZData v51.3 | The vehicle data files (CAFD, SWFL, etc.) that E-sys needs to read ECUs, code options, or flash firmware. | | Version relationship | E-sys 3.25.3 is compatible with PSdZData v51.x (v51.3 is fine). Older E-sys (e.g., 3.30+) might require newer PSdZData. | E-sys 3.25.3 And Psdzdata Files V51.3
Cause: Your PSdZData v51.3 is missing the specific file, or you accidentally installed a "Lite" version when a Full version was required. Fix: Re-download the FULL PSdZData v51.3. Do not mix files from different data versions.
Code the side mirrors to automatically fold in when you hold the lock button on the remote.
Cause: Your Vehicle Order (VO) is corrupted or E-sys cannot verify the checksum. Fix: Use E-sys 3.25.3 to "Edit" the FA (Vehicle Order). Remove any non-standard characters and recalculate the checksum by hitting the little calculator icon. PSdZData (Projekt System Daten) is the database file
