If your disc says "Engraver Master V5.0" or "EM-Controller," you are likely using a modified version of GrblController 3.6.1. The original safe version is hosted on GitHub.

When you purchased your laser engraver, it should have come with a small USB flash drive or a CD-ROM. This is the safest source. The software on that drive is guaranteed to match your controller’s firmware version. If you lost the drive, proceed to Source 2. engraver master software download link

Once you have a legitimate engraver master software download link, follow these steps to ensure a smooth installation:

Step 1: Disable Antivirus (Temporarily) Engraver Master uses low-level USB drivers that mimic a serial port. Windows Defender often flags these as "suspicious activity." Step 2: Run as Administrator Right-click the downloaded .exe or .zip file and select "Run as Administrator." Do not simply double-click.

Step 3: Install the USB Drivers The installer will prompt you to install "CH340" or "CP2102" drivers. Do not skip this. Without the correct driver, your computer will never see the engraver. This is the safest source

Step 4: Restart Your PC Even if the installer does not ask, restart your computer. This allows the driver registry to finalize.

Step 5: Configure the Port Open Engraver Master, go to "Config" > "Port." Select the COM port that appears in your Windows Device Manager (usually COM3 or COM4). Set the baud rate to 115200.
