⚠️ Works with both Steam and Epic versions. May require updates after game patches.

If you attempt to run this on three 1080p monitors (5760x1080), the game's physics engine begins to break. Because the render distance wasn't designed for that FOV, NPCs may "pop" in and out of existence on the outer monitors. It works, but it is a "tech demo" experience.

Q: Will this get me banned on Steam? A: No. FFVIIHook is a runtime memory edit, not a cheat. Steam achievements work fine.

Q: Does it work for the Epic Games Store version? A: Yes. The file structure is identical. Just drop the DLLs into the Win64 folder. ⚠️ Works with both Steam and Epic versions

Q: I have a 2560x1080 monitor (less common 21:9). Will this work? A: Absolutely. Just set r.SetRes=2560x1080w. The math is the same.

Q: The cutscenes are still letterboxed! A: This is the one unfixable part. The pre-rendered movies (FMVs) are video files. You cannot "uncrop" a video. However, FFVIIHook can force the game to play them at 1x speed with black bars instead of stretching them. Some users prefer the "Zoom" function on their monitor for cutscenes.

Rendering FFVII Remake at 3440x1440 is about 34% more pixels than 2560x1440. 5120x1440 is nearly double the pixel count.

| Issue | Solution | |-------|----------| | Still has black bars | Check FFVIIFix.iniEnabled = true. Ensure no other mods conflict. | | HUD is centered | Set HUDToScreenEdge = true | | Cutscenes stretched | Set FixCutscenes = true (pre-rendered videos will be cropped, not stretched) | | Game crashes on launch | Remove other .asi mods temporarily. Update Visual C++ Redistributable. | | Epic Games version | Rename winmm.dll to version.dll in the Win64 folder. |
