Flashtool 0.9.18.6

  • Choose your FTF from the left panel.
  • Configure exclusions (OPTIONAL):
  • Click "Flash".
  • Prepare your phone:
  • Watch the magic happen: The log window will turn green and show:
    23/05/2023 14:32:17 - INFO  - Device connected in flash mode
    23/05/2023 14:32:19 - INFO  - Reading device information
    23/05/2023 14:32:25 - INFO  - Flashing system.sin
    
  • Wait 5–15 minutes depending on firmware size (system.sin is the largest).
  • When complete, you’ll see: Flashing finished. Please unplug and start the phone.
  • Disconnect the USB cable and power on the phone. The first boot may take 10+ minutes.
  • Even with version 0.9.18.6, users often encounter specific error codes.

    If you are holding onto a classic Sony Xperia device—like the Z3, Z5 Premium, or X Performance—Flashtool 0.9.18.6 is arguably the best version to keep archived. flashtool 0.9.18.6

    Modern Sony phones (Xperia 1 series, 5 series, and 10 III/IV/V) utilize A/B partition schemes and dynamic partitions.     Do not download from random file-sharing sites. The safest archive is available from developer’s archived build or trusted XDA-Developers mirrors. Look for the file named: flashtool-0.9.18.6-windows.exe (approximately 125 MB).
