Footloose Jr Musical Script

The first act establishes the status quo of Bomont and disrupts it with Ren’s arrival.

The script is structured into two acts. The pacing is rapid, moving quickly from the culture shock of Ren’s arrival to the explosive final prom scene.

There is a scene where the kids drive a yellow Volkswagen to the county line. In the full script, they build a half-car. In the JR script, the stage direction suggests a "stylized representation." Pro tip: Use a bench on casters and a steering wheel prop. Do not attempt to bring a real car shell on stage unless you have a massive budget. footloose jr musical script
