In God of War Ragnarök, "Runes" refer to three distinct game mechanics: Runic Attacks, Nornir Chest puzzles, and lore-based translation. 1. Runic Attacks (Combat)

Runic Attacks are special abilities Kratos can equip to his weapons. They are divided into Light (L1 + R1) and Heavy (L1 + R2) categories.
