Gothic 2 Fix Patch 2.6.0.0-rev2 Review

No patch is perfect. If you encounter problems after installing this version, try these solutions:

A new update for the Gothic II Fix Patch (a.k.a. Gothic 2 Nightly Fix Patch) has dropped — version 2.6.0.0-rev2. This continues the work of improving the original Gothic II + Night of the Raven without overhauling gameplay.

⚠️ Note: This is not the SystemPack or Union — it’s the standalone Fix Patch that focuses on bug fixes, cut content restoration (optional), and engine corrections.

Gothic II is famously built on a 25 FPS logic tick rate. If you run the game above 60 FPS in vanilla, torches fall through floors, pickpocketing breaks, and NPCs slide sideways. 2.6.0.0-rev2 decouples the render FPS from the physics tick rate. You can now safely run the game at 144Hz without nameless heroes spontaneously dying from falling two feet.
