Cause: Windows Driver Signature Enforcement blocking older drivers.
Fix: Restart Windows → Disable Driver Signature Enforcement (Advanced Startup) → Install driver again.
Step 1: Identify your Windows version (32-bit vs 64-bit).
Go to Settings → System → About → System type.
Step 2: Download the correct driver.
Step 3: Disconnect the HYC adapter from the USB port.

Step 4: Uninstall any old or generic USB display drivers.
Use DisplayLink Cleaner tool (if previously used DisplayLink) or uninstall from Control Panel.
Step 5: Run the installer as Administrator.
Right-click the .exe → Run as administrator. Follow on-screen prompts.
Step 6: Reboot your computer.

Step 7: Plug in the HYC USB Display Version 1001.
Windows will detect the adapter and finalize the driver installation. You should see your secondary monitor activate.
