As of this writing, Cosmic Patterns has not announced Kepler 8.0. However, they continue to release bug-fix updates for 7.0 (the current build is 7.0.3). Why no new version? Because the software is mature. It does not rely on cloud servers or external APIs. It works today, and it will work ten years from now.
Some power users speculate that version 8.0, if released, will include:
Until then, Kepler 7.0 remains the choice of astrologers who value ownership, depth, and accuracy over flashy UI tricks.

Elias squinted at the screen. He saw that transiting Pluto was sitting right on Sarah’s Midheaven (career), explaining the sudden power struggle at work. But he felt he was missing something about the health issue.

Where to find them now: If you have lost your physical manuals, Cosmic Patterns Software (the current rights holder) often provides PDF versions of the Kepler manuals to registered users, though they prioritize the newer Sirius documentation.
The software includes a 30,000-event historical database (famous people, disasters, etc.) and a robust search engine. Need to find all people with Moon in Scorpio AND Saturn in the 7th house? Kepler can search a database of millions with lightning speed. The ephemeris covers 6000 BC to 5400 AD and includes Pluto’s new dwarf planet status.
