I am using WinCC Runtime Advanced (TIA Portal V17/V18/V19). When I try to enable WinCC Logging (data logging / archiving) or use the "Runtime Advanced" link to test logging features, I get the error:
"License key not available for WinCC Logging"
or
"The license for 'WinCC Logging' is not installed or not accessible."
The Runtime Advanced link either fails to start logging, or the logging configuration is greyed out. I am using WinCC Runtime Advanced (TIA Portal V17/V18/V19)
Siemens licenses are stored on physical USB sticks (Memory Cards) or software containers (C2V files).
Sometimes, you do have the correct license, but the error persists. Why? "License key not available for WinCC Logging"
This often happens when the project configuration demands a license tier higher than what is installed.
