Lossless Scaling V2.10.1 Online

For most PC games (1080p monitor, mid-range GPU):

1. Game: 720p, borderless windowed
2. Lossless Scaling:
   - Scale Factor: Auto
   - Scaling Type: FSR
   - Frame Gen: X2
   - Capture: DXGI
   - Run as Admin
3. Click "Scale" → Click game

For 60Hz monitor → smoother motion:

- Cap game to 60 FPS
- Frame Gen: X2 → 120 FPS (visually)
- Use V-sync in LS settings

For low-end GPU (e.g., Intel HD, GT 1030): Lossless Scaling v2.10.1

- Scaling only, no frame generation
- Use LS1 or Integer scaling
- Capture: DXGI

| Target Smoothness | Base FPS | Mode | Result | |------------------|----------|------|--------| | Good | 40+ | X2 | 80+ FPS | | Better | 60 | X2 | 120 FPS | | Best | 60 | X3 | 180 FPS (if GPU can handle) | | Avoid | Below 30 | Any | High artifacts, stutter |

Rule: Base FPS should be stable. Fluctuating 45-60 becomes worse than locked 45. For most PC games (1080p monitor, mid-range GPU): 1

The headline feature of this update was the integration of NVIDIA DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) as a scaling option.

Lossless Scaling is a specialized utility software developed by THS (THS Games). It is designed to apply frame generation and scaling algorithms to games and applications that do not natively support them. It is particularly popular among PC gamers playing emulator titles, older games, or competitive shooters where native resolution rendering is too demanding or the game engine is capped at a low frame rate. For 60Hz monitor → smoother motion: - Cap

If you are already on v2.10.0 and not experiencing issues, the update is optional but recommended.

Tears of the Kingdom runs at 25-30 FPS natively. With v2.10.1, you can run it at 720p, enable LSFG, and experience a 50-60 FPS smoothness on a Steam Deck or mid-range laptop. It’s not perfect (shrines have UI ghosting), but for overworld exploration, it's magical.

| Feature | Description | |--------|-------------| | Multiple scaling modes | LS1, FSR 1.0, NVIDIA Image Scaling, Anime4K, Sharp Bilinear | | Frame generation (optional) | Adds interpolated frames for smoother motion (separate setting) | | Low latency mode | Reduces input lag when scaling | | Global hotkeys | Start/stop scaling without opening the window | | No quality loss | Uses integer scaling + post-process sharpening where applicable |
