If you have tried everything above and Windows still gives a yellow exclamation mark in Device Manager, you have two options. The driver you need depends entirely on your OS
Option 1: The Generic Windows USB Audio 2.0 Driver (Limited) If you have tried everything above and Windows
Option 2: Upgrade Your Interface The M-Track Plus is end-of-life. M-Audio no longer develops new drivers for it. If you are on macOS Sonoma/Sequoia or Windows 11 ARM, it is time to retire the unit. The modern equivalent is the M-Track Duo (which has up-to-date drivers for 2025).
Many forums suggest downloading ASIO4ALL, a universal driver. Avoid this if possible. While ASIO4ALL is a lifesaver for cheap hardware, the M-Audio M-Track Plus has its own native ASIO driver. Using the native driver will always yield better performance and lower latency than a generic wrapper like ASIO4ALL.
