Operation Nightshade

It was a chilly autumn evening in the mountains of Afghanistan. The sun had long since dipped below the horizon, casting a dark shadow over the rugged terrain. Lieutenant Commander James "Hawk" Wilson, call sign "Nightshade," peered out of the cockpit of his MH-60 Black Hawk helicopter, scanning the landscape below for any signs of enemy activity.

His team, SEAL Team 6, had been tasked with conducting a high-risk mission to capture a notorious Taliban leader, known only as "The Scorpion." Intel suggested that The Scorpion was hiding in a heavily fortified compound deep within the mountains, surrounded by loyal militants and protected by layers of security.

"I'm on the grid, Hawk. I've got eyes on The Scorpion. He's fleeing on foot, heading due east. Can you get a fire team to intercept?"

Hawk rapidly coordinated with Reaper's team, who swiftly gave chase. A fierce firefight erupted as they closed in on The Scorpion. Just as the militant leader was about to be overrun, a precision-guided munition (PGM) dropped from a supporting F-16 Fighting Falcon, striking The Scorpion's position and neutralizing the threat.

The SEALs secured the area, taking The Scorpion's body into custody. As they prepped to exfiltrate, Hawk radioed Bat: "Thanks for the assist, Bat. We owe you one."

The conversation was brief. "Just doing my job, Hawk. Get your team home safe."
