In the end, Alex decided to invest in his craft. He purchased a more affordable version of Kontakt and started building his sound library with free resources and purchasing smaller, more affordable libraries that could give him the sound he was looking for.

Damage 2 runs in the full version of Kontakt 6.7 or later (or the free Kontakt Player). Unlike many “epic” drum libraries that rely on pre‑mixed loops, Heavyocity gives you deep control: microphone positions (close, room, far), individual articulation editing, and an onboard sequencer with drag‑and‑drop MIDI.
The interface is clean but powerful. The main page lets you quickly mix direct, ambient, and punch signals. The FX rack includes convolution reverb, delay, distortion, and the signature “Punch” engine—which alone can transform a dull hit into a chest‑thumping impact.
