The unboxing experience is surprisingly premium. TomTom has moved away from the bulky, rugged plastic of the old 550 model to a sleeker, more industrial design. Inside the box, you get:

The first thing you notice is the screen. TomTom has upgraded to a 6-inch HD display. It is incredibly bright—1,000 nits, to be exact. Even under direct summer sun, glare is non-existent. The 600 edges out the Garmin Zumo XT (which has 6 inches as well) by having slightly thinner bezels, making the map area feel massive.
