Playful Kiss Tap 1 Vietsub (known in Vietnamese as Nụ Hôn Tinh Nghịch Tập 1) marks the beginning of one of the most iconic romantic comedies in K-drama history. Originally aired in 2010, this series—also known as Mischievous Kiss or Naughty Kiss—is based on the Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss.

The first episode sets the stage for a classic "opposites attract" story, following the clumsy but persistent Oh Ha-ni and the cold, genius Baek Seung-jo. Plot Summary: The Rejection and the Earthquake

Episode 1 introduces us to Oh Ha-ni (played by Jung So-min), a low-ranking student who has harbored a crush on the school’s golden boy, Baek Seung-jo (played by Kim Hyun-joong), for three years. Fate intervenes when a mild earthquake destroys Ha-ni’s newly built home. Having nowhere else to go, she and her father move in with her father's childhood friend—who happens to be Baek Seung-jo’s father. This drama is based on the famous Japanese manga Itazura na Kiss. While there are many adaptations (Japanese, Taiwanese, Thai), many fans argue that the Korean version captures the sweet, youthful vibe of the original manga best.

The Love Letter Disaster The episode kicks off with Oh Ha Ni mustering up the courage to confess her feelings to Baek Seung-jo, whom she has secretly loved for years. She writes a heartfelt love letter. However, her nerves get the better of her, and in a moment of panic, she accidentally hands the letter to Seung-jo.

His reaction? He doesn't even read it properly. He famously corrects her grammar and spelling on the letter with a red pen, hands it back, and tells her that he has no interest in a girl with no brains. Ouch. It is a crushing start for Ha Ni and sets the tone for Seung-jo’s icy personality.

The House Collapse Humiliated, Ha Ni tries to move on. However, fate has a twisted sense of humor. An earthquake strikes (a mild one), but it causes the roof of Ha Ni’s modest home to collapse. Her father, a legendary noodle chef, is an old friend of Baek Seung-jo’s father. The Baek family offers Ha Ni and her father a place to stay until their house is fixed.

The Ultimate Nightmare (or Dream?) Ha Ni is horrified to realize she will be living under the same roof as the boy who just rejected her. The episode ends with Ha Ni standing in the Baek household, realizing her private hell has just begun.
