Released in 2004 by Ubisoft, Prince of Persia: Warrior Within is the gritty, heavy-metal-infused sequel to The Sands of Time. Abandoning the romantic tone of its predecessor, this installment introduced a darker narrative, brutal combat, a mature protagonist, and the unforgettable Dahaka—a relentless monster representing a corrupted timeline.
For years, Android users struggled to emulate this PS2 and GameCube classic. Standard APK files often crashed, failed to load past the title screen, or lacked controller support. Enter the REPACK version—a community-crafted package that merges a tweaked APK with the correct OBB (data) file, ensuring smooth performance on modern Android devices. Safety: A true REPACK contains modified code but no malware
This guide covers everything: from understanding what an OBB file is, to step-by-step installation, troubleshooting the REPACK, and optimizing the game for touchscreens and gamepads.
Safety: A true REPACK contains modified code but no malware. Always scan the APK with VirusTotal before installing. Avoid EXE files or “installer launchers” – Android REPACKs are .apk plus .zip only.
Legality: You should own a legitimate copy of Prince of Persia: Warrior Within (e.g., PS2, Xbox, PC, or the now-delisted mobile version). The REPACK is a preservation tool for abandoned software (the official mobile port has been removed from the Play Store since 2020).
Ubisoft no longer sells or supports the Android version. Most emulation communities consider the REPACK abandonware.
