Most guides ignore Metalworking for Build 39 because it was functionally useless for base defense (zombies couldn't break metal walls any slower than log walls). However, if you want to 100% the work system, here is the truth:

Solution: Build 39 has a bug. The generator must be placed directly on the tile adjacent to your exterior wall, and you must have a window or door open. The "radius" is 2 tiles, not 10 like modern builds.
