Reshade 5.9 1 Today

Should you download ReShade 5.9.1?

Absolutely—if you play single-player games. It is the most stable, fastest, and feature-rich version of ReShade ever released. The improved Vulkan support, reduced VRAM footprint, and new add-on manager make it superior to every previous build.

Avoid it if you rely on outdated presets from 2019 that haven't been updated (many of those shaders are deprecated). Also, avoid it for kernel-level anti-cheat multiplayer games.

ReShade is an open-source tool that intercepts the DirectX (9, 10, 11, 12), OpenGL, and Vulkan API calls your game makes to your GPU. Effectively, it acts as a "filter" between the game engine and your monitor. reshade 5.9 1

Version 5.9.1 is a maintenance and feature update that improves upon the massive 5.0 overhaul. Unlike simple NVIDIA Freestyle or AMD Adrenalin filters, ReShade offers hundreds of effects, from basic color correction (brightness/contrast) to advanced depth-of-field, SMAA anti-aliasing, ray-traced global illumination (via shader passes), and even fake HDR.

Leverages the fake HDR shader (fakeHDR.fx). Version 5.9.1 fixes the white clipping that occurred in cloudy weather on previous builds.
