The vertical slice of power. Royalty introduces psychic powers, titles, and the Empire faction. In the new patch, Royalty has been tweaked to interact better with Biotech.
To survive the long game, you need to use the DLCs to cover each other's weaknesses.
Before 3901, children were essentially small adults. Now, the "Learning" mechanic is tied directly to the quality of the classroom (chalkboards, whiteboards, school desks). Children raised in 1.4.3901 gain "passions" (burning interests) based on their caregivers' skills, not random rolls.
To play "all DLCs new" means to embrace chaos. Each DLC adds a layer of complexity that interacts with the others. Here is how they combine in 1.4.3901. rimworld 143901 all dlcs new
The story of Colony 143901 began not with a crash, but with a cryopod malfunction. Sir Valerius, a Nobel fighter from the Empire (Royalty DLC), awoke alone in the wilderness. Used to satin sheets and psycasting, he instead found himself shivering in the rain, his elaborate cape offering little protection against the bitter cold.
He was soon joined by three unlikely allies: Twitch, a junkie transhumanist with a rusty shotgun; Mother, a pious pig-priestess; and Unit-7, a mute mechanitor (Biotech DLC) who was more interested in steel than salvation.
They named their settlement "New Bethlehem." The vertical slice of power
Starting a new playthrough with all three DLCs active can be overwhelming. The game offers three "New Game Plus" style scenarios tailored to the DLCs, but here is the optimal setup for 143901:
The raiders breached the walls. Valerius, snapped out of his trance by a bullet grazing his ear, unleashed a psychic berserk pulse. The raiders turned on each other.
But the real savior was Unit-7. The Mechanitor远程 controlled his army of Tunneler Mechs (Biotech), bursting from the ground beneath the raiders. Meanwhile, The Harvester (the cleaning mech) went rogue due to a subcore corruption, slaughtering both raiders and the Nerve Spikes with a chain shotgun, painting the snowy ground red.
