Pls Donate is one of Roblox’s most popular user-generated experiences, enabling players to request and receive the platform’s premium currency, Robux. However, a parallel ecosystem of malicious scripts promises users the ability to generate "fake 1M Robux donations" to deceive others or artificially inflate their own donation counters. This paper investigates the technical impossibility of such scripts under Roblox’s client-server architecture, the social engineering tactics used to distribute them, and the severe consequences—including account termination, token logging, and malware distribution. We argue that the "fake donation" phenomenon represents a metagame of trust exploitation, preying primarily on younger users’ desire for status and instant gratification.
