However, because it does not contain any Nintendo proprietary code, it cannot decrypt game cartridges (XCI) or digital downloads (NSP) without these keys. Once you have your legitimate prod.keys file: Paste your prod

  • Paste your prod.keys file into the system folder.
  • Also required: Download the Firmware 18.0.0 (from your Switch NAND or a legitimate NUS downloader) and install it via Tools > Install Firmware in Ryujinx.

    • Note: A common mistake is placing the keys in the root directory. They must be inside the /system folder.
