Stereo Tool Settings Official

Purpose: catch peaks and raise overall level before mastering, without squashing dynamics.

How to check:

Stereo Tool is modular. Audio flows from top to bottom through the following chain:

Input AGC → Declipper → Multiband Compression → Loudness → 3-Band vs. 5-Band → Clipper → Output (Limiter/Composite) stereo tool settings

Let’s explore each module’s critical settings.

This is the final gatekeeper. It prevents digital overs and creates that "wall of sound." Purpose: catch peaks and raise overall level before

Let’s open the interface and look at the main tabs. We will focus on the settings that matter 90% of the time.

Before we touch a slider, you must understand the order of operations. Stereo Tool processes audio from Left to Right (Input → Output). How to check: Stereo Tool is modular

Do not skip steps. You cannot fix a muddy mix with the Final Limiter alone. You must clean it first.

  • Limiter: Brickwall at 95% modulation (–0.5 dBFS).
  • Clipper: Soft clipping, threshold –1 dBFS.
  • Stereo Enhancer: 30–40% width (avoid over‑widening – it causes mono degradation).
  • Pre‑emphasis: 50 µs or 75 µs (matching your region).
