T.hv553.81 Firmware

Cause: Checksum mismatch or incorrect interrupt vector table.
Fix: The .81 firmware expects an external 12MHz crystal; older boards used 8MHz. Change the clock configuration in firmware source (if available) or reinstall .79.

The firmware on a T.hv553.81 board is responsible for: T.hv553.81 Firmware

During flashing, a brownout is catastrophic. Use a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) on your programming computer and avoid flashing during thunderstorms. T.hv553.81 Firmware

Even after unplugging, main filter capacitors can hold 400V DC for hours. Use a 10W 1kΩ resistor to discharge before touching the PCB. T.hv553.81 Firmware

Before erasing, read the device ID. It should match the expected signature for the HV553 controller (often 0x2BA01477 for STM32F103). If you get 0xFFFFFFFF or unexpected values: check connections or power.

    I do not have a detailed tutorial for Cinerender. I’ve done some training on basic settings and options for the Best Practices Course. At some point I may make a free tutorial, after I’ve gotten a bit more experience with these new rendering tools.

    I have some explanations of how to prepare images in Photoshop with alpha channel masking for use inside ArchiCAD in my tutorial:

    John – The Best Practices Course is a comprehensive curriculum that includes advanced tools such as what you mentioned (shell tool, curtain walls, printing and layout, morph tool, etc.).     There is a dedicated course for Cinerender available as part of the Masters of ARCHICAD Training Series at http://mastersofarchicad.com/training-series/. We do not have a course for Cinema 4D itself, just for the rendering components that are available within ARCHICAD.

When you sign up, you’ll get access to this comprehensive curriculum as well as dedicated sections for new features introduced into ARCHICAD 21 and other recent upgrades. You’ll have everything you need to get up to speed on ARCHICAD 21. Note that I’m planning to rework some of the lessons this year; you’ll get access to these as I release them.
