Directed by P. Vasu, Chandramukhi is a mega-blockbuster that is pure vintage Jyothika. She played dual roles: the timid, gentle Ganga and the fierce, ghostly courtesan Chandramukhi.
Though her debut was the Hindi film Doli Saja Ke Rakhna, her Tamil debut Vaali opposite Ajith Kumar is where Jyothika classic cinema truly began. This was a film about a deaf-mute man and his obsessive twin brother.
