The star is Chunker.app (web-based, free). It handles 90% of use cases. For advanced stuff (modded blocks, entities), we’ll use Amulet Editor or MCA Selector." universal minecraft converter

A Universal Minecraft Converter (UMC) is a tool or system that translates Minecraft content between different formats, platforms, versions, or ecosystems so assets created in one context can be used in another. “Content” includes worlds, maps, resource packs (textures/sounds), behavior/data packs, mods, schematics, player data, and server configurations. The goal is to bridge compatibility gaps caused by differing file formats, game versions, engine changes (Java vs Bedrock), or mod APIs. Once finished, UMC will create a new file/folder

Visual: Open Bedrock world folder (com.mojang), zip it, upload to Chunker. Audio: "Bedrock to Java is trickier because of different world heights. But Chunker handles it. Pro tip: After conversion, open the world in a Java version like 1.20.4 first, then upgrade to 1.21 to avoid chunk errors." Visual: On-screen text: Java → Bedrock, Bedrock →

No single tool does everything perfectly, but these three come closest to the "universal" dream.
