The installer will launch a minimal version of Windows Setup (often using WinNTSetup or a custom script).

  • Format the partition (Quick Format is fine).
  • Set Active Flag: Mark the partition as "Active/Bootable" (required for legacy BIOS).

    • Use Rufus (free, reliable).

  • File system: FAT32 (default)
  • Click START → Write in DD mode (if asked).
  • Wait for completion.
