At its core, this version intercepts DirectInput calls from a game and converts them into XInput commands. To the game, your generic USB controller appears identically to an official Xbox 360 gamepad.

Navigate to the folder where the game’s main executable (.exe) lives. For example: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Batman Arkham Asylum\Binaries Extract the x360ce.exe file here. X360ce 3.2.8.77

Click Save All. Then, use the built-in “Test” tab (a small gamepad icon at the bottom). Every input should mirror an Xbox 360 controller. If the left stick controls the D-Pad, re-map the axes. At its core, this version intercepts DirectInput calls
