Zte F670y Firmware Hot
iw reg set BO # Bolivia (max 30 dBm allowed)
echo "regdomain=BO" >> /etc/config/wireless
The version check is in /usr/bin/version_check. Patch it:
mount -o remount,rw /
cp /bin/busybox /tmp/sh
/tmp/sh -c "sed -i 's/version_check/echo 0/' /usr/bin/version_check"
Now flash any older firmware.
/proc/mtd (typical on ZTE F670Y v9):
mtd0: u-boot
mtd1: u-boot-env
mtd2: factory (MAC, SN, calibration)
mtd3: kernel
mtd4: rootfs (squashfs)
mtd5: rootfs_data (jffs2)
mtd6: backup (recovery)
mtd7: config (ISP settings)

The "ZTE F670Y firmware hot" phenomenon is not a myth, nor is it a feature. It is a classic case of default firmware prioritizing performance and regulatory compliance over thermals.
If your ISP refuses to push a firmware update, buy a cheap USB fan or ask them to replace the unit with a newer revision. Your router shouldn't double as a coffee warmer. zte f670y firmware hot

Subject: 🔥 [REQUEST] ZTE F670Y Firmware - Latest Version Needed (GPON Stick)
Body:
Hey everyone,
I'm currently rocking the ZTE F670Y GPON ONT and I'm looking to update the firmware. The current version I'm on is lagging a bit, and I'm hunting for the latest stable release (specifically looking for versions V9.0.10 or newer if it's out in the wild). iw reg set BO # Bolivia (max 30
Current Device Info:
What I'm looking for:
Does anyone have a backup of the .bin or .img file for the latest firmware? I'm looking to flash it to unlock some configuration options and improve general stability.
⚠️ The Warning: I know there are a lot of "hot" links floating around on random file-hosting sites. If you have a trusted source or a Google Drive link, please share, but let's verify the checksums if possible. The last thing we want is a bricked ONT.
Also looking for:
Thanks in advance for the help!
(Optional: Add a "Download" section if you actually have the file to share, or remove that part if you are just requesting it.)
1. Check your current firmware version
2. Downgrade or upgrade firmware
3. Temporary workarounds (while waiting for a fix)
4. Factory reset (sometimes helps)
After extracting the rootfs.bin (SquashFS), we see:
/ # ls -l /
bin (busybox + custom bins)
etc (openwrt-like: config, init.d)
lib (uClibc, proprietary kernel modules)
usr (httpd, cgi scripts, iptables)
zte (critical: custom middleware, omci, voice)
