Aspen Plus Student Version
The Student Version license usually expires after 12 months. So, don't download it as a freshman if you won't use it until senior year. Download it the summer before your Process Design or Plant Design course.
Also, do not try to save your file to the cloud. Aspen saves files in a local temp directory that gets confused by OneDrive or Google Drive syncing. Save everything to C:\Users\YourName\Aspen_Work.

Opening Aspen Plus for the first time is intimidating. There are hundreds of buttons, property methods like NRTL, UNIQUAC, and Peng-Robinson, and convergence errors that look like they are written in binary code.
Start simple. Do not try to simulate a biodiesel plant on day one. Start with a flash drum or a simple heat exchanger.
Your first run will likely fail (convergence error). Welcome to simulation. The Student Version gives you the same cryptic error messages the professionals get. Figuring out how to debug those errors is where the real learning happens.
