Playing this collection in 2024 is a mixed bag of emotions.
This is a grey area. NovaLogic went defunct, and the rights to the Delta Force franchise were purchased by THQ Nordic (Embracer Group) in 2021.
As of 2025, THQ Nordic has not released a remaster or re-release of the Complete Collection on modern storefronts. Because the games are abandonware (no legal way to purchase a working digital copy from the rights holder that supports modern OS), the preservation community views repacks like Dodi’s as essential for video game history.
If THQ Nordic eventually releases an official Delta Force: Legacy Collection on Steam, we encourage supporting them. Until then, the Dodi Repack is the only functional way to play Task Force Dagger or Urban Warfare on Windows 11.
