Over weeks, the bully becomes a regular visitor. They help Yuna with chores, listen to her frustrations about work, and subtly badmouth the protagonist (“They’re so distant… I try to help, but they push me away”). Sera slowly plants doubts in Yuna’s mind:
She even introduces Yuna to a fake “business partner” (actually Sera’s older cousin) who offers to invest in the café — but only if Yuna distances herself from “negative influences” (i.e., you).
Yuna starts staying out late. She becomes irritable with you. She defends Sera: “She’s not a bully. She’s helping us.”
When a bully targets a parent like Yuna Full, the harm expands beyond the individual to the family unit and school community. Effective responses require coordinated action: preserving evidence, supportive family communication, school intervention, and legal recourse when necessary. Proactive policies and education can reduce occurrence and mitigate damage.
